Tempo Boom is a free, non-commercial music discovery site. It collects as little as it can.
What we store about you
- No account: nothing. Your My 3 picks and the artists you've viewed are kept only in your own browser.
- If you join: your email address, the username you choose and your 3 picks. No password, name, phone number or payment details. Login links and sessions are stored only as one-way hashes.
- Newsletter: if you join, your email is added to our Monday newsletter (sent with Buttondown). Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Abuse protection: to rate-limit sign-ups, an IP address is kept briefly as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
- Visit stats: we count, as anonymous daily totals, how many visits go past one page, how long the site stays on screen, what gets tapped (a song, Save, Next artist) and which kind of link brought the visit (for example a Reddit ad or Google). Nothing identifies you: no ids, no cookies, and the counters can't be tied to a person. A first-visit date is kept in your own browser to tell new visits from returning ones.
We never sell or share your data, and there are no ads.
Posts from other sites
Some artist pages show what people are saying about an artist on public platforms such as Bluesky and Reddit. We show only public posts, credit the author and platform, and link back to the original. We don't build profiles of the people who wrote them or use their posts for anything else.
Posts are re-checked at least every 48 hours. If a post is deleted, made private or removed by its platform, it disappears from Tempo Boom within 48 hours. Wrote a post you'd like taken off sooner? Email us and we'll remove it right away.
Deleting your data
Email [email protected] from the address you joined with and we'll delete your account and picks within 7 days. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time from any email.
